A day to refresh your mind with a waterside view
Both the scenery created by nature and the hot spring resort town are the charm of Jozankei. The Hokkaido Route 1 from Jozankei Hot Spring Resort to Otaru City via Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort is a driving course with beautiful mountain scenery. Along the road is "Sapporo Lake," where the colors of the trees reflected on the surface of the lake are graceful. After a short drive, enjoy lunch and a sauna in the hot spring resort area. This is also a relaxing course where you can stroll along the "Futami Jozan Road" and enjoy the scenery of the valley.

Drive to Sapporo Lake (To Observatory No 1 and No. 4) and visit Dam Museum
Lake Sapporo, known as a famous autumn foliage viewing spot,is approximately 10 min. by car from Tsubaki-Tei. Please enjoy a scenic drive on the Hokkaido Route 1, which runs alongside Lake Sapporo. Be sure to take memorial pictures at the observatory and visit the museum and park at the lower Jozankei Dam.

Lunch at Restaurant Ichi
After returning to the hot spring resort, visit the popular area, Yamanokazemachi. There are the much talked about bakery, a foot hot spring, cake shop, and a shaved ice shop which opens only in summer. All of these shops are so popular with people waiting in line. Have a beautiful lunch at Shokudo Ichi which is one of them.

Sauna at Jozankei Hot Spring Resort
At Jozankei Hot Spring Resort, you can find well-established inns and the latest hot spring resort hotels, outdoor facilities, and a full-equipped sauna. After enjoying the sauna, you can take a water bath with the Toyohira River as its source, or take an outdoor air bath while admiring the scenery of the valley. Please enjoy the sauna of your choice.

Stroll around Jozankei Hot Spring Resort. (Try various foot baths, cook hot spring boiled eggs) and Walk along the Futami Jozan Road
After the sauna, relax and enjoy the cool of the evening while taking a break in the footbath. Walking along the "Futami Jozan Road," you can hear the calls of wild birds and see the iconic scenery of Jozankei, including the Futami Suspension Bridge.

Cafe&bar Wall, located in the middle of the hot spring resort area, is a popular spot among locals. It is the perfect place to have a light drink before dinner. It boasts a selection of more than 50 types of whiskey, including some rare ones.
