During the Green Season, Niseko offers a wide variety of water activities on the clear Shiribetsu River. Mountaineering
The famous Mt. Yotei and the Niseko mountain range are worth exploring in the Niseko area. Experienced climbers can enjoy summer mountaineering with full equipment, while beginners can take on the challenge with a tour guide. After reaching the summit you can come back down and relax in the hot springs at the foot of the mountain to experience an amazing sense of fulfillment.
Trekking
The Niseko area is rich in nature. You can enjoy trekking on various trails in the mountains, forests, wetlands, and other areas. Popular courses include Shinsen-Numa and Lake Hangetsu. Snowshoes
Snowshoeing is popular among those who find skiing and snowboarding too difficult and those who want to get closer to the snow in a casual manner. Trekking with snowshoes, which make it easy to walk on snowy terrain, is a fun way to enjoy the snow. You may even be able to spot small animal tracks on a snowshoe tour.
Snow Rafting
The rafting boats which float down the rivers in summer are towed by snowmobiles in winter for a thrilling ride plowing through the snow. The reason for its popularity is that it is easy enough for anyone to enjoy, as long as they have warm clothing. On a clear day, you can ride through snow fields that sparkle in the sunlight.
